Real‐time voltage control of electric spring in islanded condition

Islanded microgrid network is sensitive to voltage and frequency fluctuations which becomes more vulnerable in the presence of external disturbance intermittent nature Renewable Energy Sources (RESs). The “Electric Spring” (ES) one most effective efficient solutions for enhancing operational flexibility RESs integration. A Self-Excited Induction Generator (SEIG) based Micro hydro system with ES, non-critical critical loads considered. Both are connected 2:1 ratio parallel SEIG. concept voltage-sensitive non-sensitive “power demand following supply” idea have been incorporated pointing up contribution ES. load coupled a three-phase inverter acts like an ES can be operated as Smart Load (SL). SL compensate deviation between demand-supply side, therefore mitigating fluctuations. effectiveness terms regulation at point standard coupling has achieved improved overall profile hybrid observed from various test cases. hardware loop experimental platform established its results highlight excellent performance proposed method.
